How big is your party?

    A table in the dining room, booked online in a minute. No private room needed.

    A long table in our main dining room, with a set menu if you would rather not hand out menus on the night.

    The Gold Room, our private floor upstairs, with its own service team, its own music and a projector.

One note on the menus: the buffets start at 40 guests, and a party that size is served upstairs in the Gold Room. Every other menu works in any of the rooms.

Family-Style
Everything lands in the middle of the table for the whole group to share.
Plated
Each guest chooses their own courses and each course arrives plated.
Buffet
Stations set out across a private room for your guests to help themselves, as often as they like.

Every set menu, with its dishes and its price, is on the set menu page. Each room page names the ones that suit it, and any menu can be built around what your guests eat.

How it works

From the first email to the last plate

  1. Tell us about it

    Send the form at the bottom of this page with your date, your guest count and what you are celebrating. Our events team answers with the rooms that fit and what they would cost.

  2. Choose your menu

    Pick a set menu or let us build one around your guests, and choose how the bar runs.

    Menu and beverage changes are welcome in writing up to 7 days before the event.

  3. Sign, and the date is yours

    A deposit holds your date and is applied to your final bill. The amount follows the menu and the guest count. Your date is confirmed once the signed agreement and the deposit are both in; until then it stays pending.

  4. Confirm your numbers

    We ask for your final guest count in writing 7 days before the event. It can go up after that, never down. If we do not hear from you, the estimate on your agreement becomes the guaranteed count.

  5. The evening itself

    We set the room the way you asked, your team is waiting, and you have nothing left to carry.

    The balance is settled at the end of the event, by card, in cash, or by check made out to Meze Restaurant.

Pricing

How pricing works

Per guest
Your food menu is priced per guest, and the bar is added to it. 10% DC sales tax and a 20% service charge are added to every private event.
No room fee
There is no room rental fee. Every private event runs on a food and beverage minimum, set for your date, your room and your guest count. If the bill lands under it, the difference is charged as a room charge.
The bar
An open bar usually runs as a block of a couple of hours, priced per guest, and we move it to fit the evening. There are three tiers: beer and wine; beer, wine and house mix drinks (vodka, rum, gin); or the full bar.
Your numbers
We do not publish a figure here, because it moves with the date, the room, the menu and the guest count. Send the form and you have real numbers back from our events team, not a price list.

Good to know

Before you sign

Cancellation
The cancellation window is agreed when you sign, typically 15 days before the event. Cancel inside the agreed window and your deposit is refunded in full, within 15 days.
Decorations
You are welcome to decorate the room. Tell us what you are planning ahead of the day. Nothing may be fixed to the walls, ceilings or fixtures in a way that damages them, and confetti, glitter and open flame are not allowed.
Outside food
The food and drink come from our kitchen and bar. The one exception is a celebration cake, agreed with us in advance.
Extra time
Need the room a little longer on the day? Extra time is subject to availability and may be charged.
