Iftar Dinners

Breaking the fast together, at a table long enough for the family, the office or the whole community. We are a halal Turkish kitchen on 18th Street, we have been here since 2001, and Ramadan is the month the room is set for.

  • A set three-course iftar, plated per guest, so the whole table is served the moment the fast breaks.
  • The upstairs floor closed for your group, or a long table downstairs if you would rather be in the room.
  • Tell us the evening and the table is set before sunset, not after it.
  • All halal, as everything in this kitchen has always been, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes through the menu.

Good to know

How a private event works

No room fee
There is no room rental fee. Every private event runs on a food and beverage minimum, set for your date, your room and your guest count. If the bill lands under it, the difference is charged as a room charge.
Deposit
A deposit holds your date and is applied to your final bill. The amount follows the menu and the guest count. Your date is confirmed once the signed agreement and the deposit are both in; until then it stays pending.
Guaranteed guest count
We ask for your final guest count in writing 7 days before the event. It can go up after that, never down. If we do not hear from you, the estimate on your agreement becomes the guaranteed count.
Cancellation
The cancellation window is agreed when you sign, typically 15 days before the event. Cancel inside the agreed window and your deposit is refunded in full, within 15 days.

Questions

Asked most often

  • When is this year's iftar menu on the site?

It goes up once the Ramadan dates are set, because the menu is written for the month rather than kept standing all year. Send the form or call us and we will get you this year's card as soon as it is printed.

  • What does an iftar dinner cost?

We do not publish a figure here, because it moves with the year, the group and the menu. Tell us your date and your numbers and our events team comes back with a real one rather than an estimate.

  • Can you host a community group, not just a family?

Yes. The floor upstairs takes a group on its own and the whole restaurant can be closed for a larger one. The block at the top of this page points you at the right room for your numbers.

  • Can you send iftar to us instead?

We can. The same kitchen packs up and goes to your office, your home or your mosque; that starts on our catering page.
