Our Story

Adams Morgan's Turkish and Mediterranean table since 2001

We opened Mezè on 18th Street in 2001 with one idea: bring the generous, shared spirit of the Turkish and Mediterranean meze table to Adams Morgan, in the heart of Washington, DC.

Twenty-five years on, that's still how we cook. Small plates made to share, everything from scratch, everything halal, with a team our regulars have known by name since the very first year.

In 2026 we're marking our 25th year, honored with the RAMMY "Honorary Milestone Award."

Birthdays, rehearsal dinners and team celebrations. Our upstairs Gold Room seats 20–60 (or up to 110 standing) and the mezzanine seats up to 25, hosting private events and group dinners of every size, with full meze spreads and bottomless options.

Twenty-five years on 18th Street

We opened our doors in 2001 and never moved. Twenty-five years on, the same neighbors still fill our tables. In 2026 the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington marked it with a RAMMY, its Honorary Milestone Award. Same family, same halal kitchen, same welcome.

Guests have celebrated birthdays, rehearsal dinners and anniversaries with us for twenty-five years. Host yours upstairs.
