Rehearsal Dinners

The night before, when both families finally sit at the same table. You get the floor upstairs, a menu that arrives course by course so the toasts have somewhere to land, and a service team that has been doing this on 18th Street since 2001.

  • A private floor upstairs with its own service team, its own music and a projector.
  • Plated courses, so the evening keeps its shape and nobody is queuing while somebody is speaking.
  • A room that seats both families at one table, or spreads them across several.
  • All halal, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes in every course.

How the night went

★★★★★

My husband and I had a large dinner party at Mezè to celebrate our wedding, and they really made the night perfect. Not only was Sully communicative and accommodating with everything we needed, but the service was stellar the whole night AND the food was amazing. Our friends and family are still raving about the experience.

How a private event works

No room fee
There is no room rental fee. Every private event runs on a food and beverage minimum, set for your date, your room and your guest count. If the bill lands under it, the difference is charged as a room charge.
Deposit
A deposit holds your date and is applied to your final bill. The amount follows the menu and the guest count. Your date is confirmed once the signed agreement and the deposit are both in; until then it stays pending.
Guaranteed guest count
We ask for your final guest count in writing 7 days before the event. It can go up after that, never down. If we do not hear from you, the estimate on your agreement becomes the guaranteed count.
Menu changes
Menu and beverage changes are welcome in writing up to 7 days before the event.
Cancellation
The cancellation window is agreed when you sign, typically 15 days before the event. Cancel inside the agreed window and your deposit is refunded in full, within 15 days.
Decorations
You are welcome to decorate the room. Tell us what you are planning ahead of the day. Nothing may be fixed to the walls, ceilings or fixtures in a way that damages them, and confetti, glitter and open flame are not allowed.

Questions

Asked most often

  • Can we see the room before we book?

Of course. Tell us when you are in the neighborhood and we will walk you through the upstairs floor, or send the form with your date and we will come back with times.

  • Our two families eat very differently. Can the menu handle that?

It can. Everything we cook is halal, and there are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes in every course. Send us the allergies with your final numbers and the kitchen works around them.

  • Is there room for speeches and a slideshow?

Yes. The upstairs floor has its own sound system and a projector on the wall, so a toast, a playlist and the photographs all have somewhere to go.

  • Do you host the wedding itself?

We do, when the whole restaurant is yours. A full buyout closes both floors and the bar to everyone else, on any day of the week, and it has a page of its own.
